TV Show Blog

In last week of class we read a article cook about TV show. when it said is about TV show I just love it. Usually, when I have nothing to do then I am going to stay at home and watch TV, it is one of my habit. I had been watch a lot of drama and cartoon. I don't why I really love to watch Japanese drama, Korean drama, Hong Kong drama, but I am not use to watch American drama. Actually, all of the TV show  that I watched is good, so is hard to tell which one is my favorite. These drama makes me have fun, crying, let me think about my life and my future. When finish watching a drama it always makes think of something that can help me have some idea about my life or the things that beside me.

Outdoor Project Blog

In Tuesday , we finally finished the left over presentation about the outdoor project. In this group project we have visit a place around Chicago downtown and the place that we had to visited is Chicago Culture Center. We have to do a few interview with the people who work there or the people around there. All have to is asked them a few a simple questions, record the interview and take a pictures with the people that we were interviewing. After we finished the interview, we have to do a power point or prezi presentation to the class. Its about the generate information of that place like what's the location ,open time, when it build, etc. I think we did a very good job in the presentation we did as a team and during that day we missing a member,so I think was pretty good.

Food Reading

   In the last  week of class we also  talked about food and read an article call Custom-Made. The fist impression that I though about the reading is the food company was so good at business. The good things is they product many kind of food and they keep changing the taste of food until they have best food. If I am the person who buy their food I will give five start to their food and services. The most interesting part of this reading for me is the food company is not just focus on some of the counties their food had been selling all around the world. I think that is what international company should do. In order to let different people can taste different kind of food they keep changing the food and taste which is very outstanding.

Movie Blog

 In the last week of class we just finished our movie project and it takes me a long time to deal with it.  In this project we have to wrote our own movie review and the movie must related to Oscar. Thus, I watched two movies during this project the movie was Forest Gump and Rain Man. For me Rain Man was better than Forest Gump. Forest Gump was good but Rain Man is better.The reason why I prefer Rain Main because this movie is more  closer to our real life and it make more sense. When you watching Forest Gump you might think why does Gump he was so lucky all the time? That doesn't make any senses, it is impossible to most of the people, so I think Rain Man is better.
     This movie ''Rain Man''was about Charile and Raymond. The story was around them and how they building a strong relationship by over time. Charile thought he was the only kid that was born in the family , but he did not know he also has a brother. He only noticed that he has a kid who always played with him when he was little and this kid 's mane call Rain Main. Also, he thought when his father death he could take over all the things that his father left. However, Charile and his father has a very terrible relationship. One day, someone told Charile his father is going to die. Then he went back to L.A, but when he went back, his father only gives him a car and a Rose Garden to Charile. It has 3 million dollars for the other person. Then Charile noticed Raymond is his brother, so he he wanted to get back all the money that he he wanted. One day, when they were having dinner Raymond broke the box that has a lot number inside. Charile noticed Raymond he could remember all the number, so Charile he decided to bought Raymond to Lacewings to win a lot money to helped him pay all the money. By that time the feeling that he thought about Raymond had been changed. He realized that money is not everything, the most important thing is their relationship. In the end they have to separate. Charile he was so emotional about that.
     I think this movie it just prefect, and this movie is very good to watch. Especially, for the people who have the brother or sister. Everything is good for them. If you watched it, you will get what the message is. Life is short please treasure the people who you love and the people who love you.

Music

 I remember in this pop culture class we had done a music project and it is my favorite project I had done so far. Also, we did that project in a very creative way. In this music project the final part is all of us are going to have a present-ion to the classmate, but we did in a circle and we did it four times. Actually, it let me having a hard time it meat I have to present the same thing four times, it is so weird to me. In this project I picked a R&B song also it was a pop song '' When You Believe''. This song is so positive to me, when I feeling depress I am going to listen this song and the lyrics remind me that do not give up yourself when you believe it the hope will come. Another reason I picked this song to do this project because I really love Whitney Houston 's voice. Her voice just so amazing is like a angel voice. However, as the time gone by my favorite music style had changed. In the pass I use to listen pop song but right now I like to listen Rock music such as hard rock, art rock, England rock, any kind of rock. Somehow, I just love it, it makes me feel so high, and keep me awake. I think that if  I always listen the same kind of music I will feel bored. My favorite rock band is Queen it was a super famous rock around the world. My famous song of that band is I want it all this song is so great it just like when music is on I can not stop listen it. Another rock singer that I like is Steve Vai. His guitar solo very is outstanding, most of his music are rock solo without lyrics, so I cannot explain how I like it. My favorite rock solo of him is For The God of love and Boston Rain Melody. I will never stop listen music my life cannot without music, especially for the Rock music because Rock&Roll never die.

Favorite Reading

  During the semester, we had read so many reading and did a lot of assignment with the reading. However when reading these articles I noticed something was so creative. For example, one of the article call ''Home at last'' when I looked at the tittle it makes me think about the reading in different way. Home at last this tittle makes so interned in that reading, because when I looked at the tittle the first thing that came to my mind was Is this reading about somebody who likes to moving around culture to culture? which was the people who had moved so many times. Finally, they decided the U.S become their last home. It meant they are going to set up every out here and they are going to move anymore. They think living in American is the best  choose for them. They going to continue rest of their life in American. However, In order to know about American the immigrant have to slowly down it is a process. Thus,they need time to get know American. However, American is very open for every culture that come from different county.  It's very important to remind us accept different culture because every cultures has their own sense of  beauty. American is like a sale bowl  contain a lot different culture inside and we should living together as a family and stick together, it gives us happiness and joy.It is what I think about the reading before I read it.

Culture Identity

In this pop culture class we had done a very interesting project which was to create our own poster about our hometown and posted to the class. When think back and looked at the poster that I created I thought  that was a very terrible creation. However in order to complete this final blog I amt  going to go back and see what I did in the pass even I don't want to.
            Actually, when I was doing this project I was focused on four main points.

Taishan City is located at South side of China, it’s part of Guandong. Also, Taishan include some of the neighborhoods. In the first 12 years of my life I was living there and I very missing those old day. I had never forgot the memories of my hometown.  Taishan City are famous at produce vegetarian, the vegetarian that are produce by Taishan is very fresh because the environment and weather are quite good to produce vegetarians. Have you guys tastes the winter melon soup ? Its very good its my favorite vegetarian soup ever.  My favorite singer&actor Danny Chan&Tony Leung they are Taishanese(They born in Hong Kong, but their parents are Taishanese.Danny Chan (1958-1993)was an famous cartopop singer in the 1980s. Danny also was an singer song writer,He was very good at singing love song. Because he sang every song with very deep emotion and his voice touching me deeply. According to what I know, Danny was the first generation of pop song idols in Hong Kong. In the early of his careers the song style was kind of joyful and positive. However, in the late of 1980s was kind of depress and upset, during the late1980s-1990 his careers had a lot of ups and down. In addition, personally , Danny’s personality was kind of emotion, all of his emotions was showed in his songs. Also, since 1980s, a lot new singer came into the contest of singing, so he was unable to have enough inspiration to compost a news songs.In May15, 1992 Danny suddenly went into a coma, until October 25, 1993 he was die at 35 years old. After he was die, he was one of singer that has big impact at Chinese music community,Tony Leung one of the famous Chinese movie actor, during his career he had been won 18times Flim Awards.
